Melissa Richards is the Founder and Principal Speech-Language Pathologist at the Speech Language & Literacy Clinic.
Melissa has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of school-aged children with speech, language and literacy difficulties. She has worked extensively both in the private and public sectors with children with learning difficulties, English as a Second Language (ESL), developmental delay/mild cognitive impairment and behavioural difficulties. She also has experience with gifted children with learning and attentional difficulties (2e).
As Melissa is highly committed to providing excellent tailored online speech pathology solutions for all patients, she regularly attends professional development opportunities. This helps to ensure she can offer the best in current evidence-based practice to meet individual needs.
She has a particular interest in Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Auditory Processing Disorders, Literacy Difficulties, Specific Learning Disability, 2e (Twice Exceptional) and ESL.
Melissa has a Masters in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney and several degrees in Education including a specialist degree in Special Education/Literacy. She has extensive experience in working with schools, allowing her to provide a highly functional approach which enables her patients to experience greater success in the classroom and everyday life.
The Speech Language & Literacy Clinic works collaboratively with other health professionals such as paediatricians, general practitioners, psychologists and occupational therapists in order to deliver the best possible results for its patients.
