Therapy
What happens in an online therapy session?
Your child’s online therapy program is tailored to meet their individual needs. Priorities for your child’s program are based on their assessment results and your areas of concern. Specific programs and evidence-based practice are used during your child’s therapy to maximise their success and progress.
During online therapy sessions, you will collaboratively engage with the speech pathologist and your child. You will also acquire invaluable skills allowing you to confidently practice your child’s program at home and to help accelerate their progress. The speech pathologist will also help design tailored reward systems for your child to help maximise their involvement and motivation in their therapy program.
Therapy sessions are generally one hour per week for school-aged children.
How do I know my child is progressing?
At each online therapy session, the speech pathologist will continue to take ongoing data of your child’s progress. Formal testing and progress reports at suitable intervals are also available upon a parent’s request.
